Leila Al Marashi is the fist Emirati woman to be on the leadership board of Tabreed ( a listed company on the Dubai Financial Market) . She is the Vice President for Corporate Communications at the National Central Cooling company. In addition, Leila is an artist, designer, entrepreneur and a woman’s’ advocate. Al Marashi holds a BBA in Marketing from the American University in Dubai, and a Master’s of Science in European Business from Edhec in France.

Leila’s ability to take on different roles and responsibilies such as presenting at the Emirates Environmental Group Conference & Emirates Green Council, being on the steering committee of Shell Women and hosting various local and international events has allowed her to exercise her passion in supporting women and the environment.

In 2008 Al Marashi launched her own homegrown label – Sugar Vintage, into a successful and globally recognized brand. A Dubai-based fashion label known for playfully bringing together an unlikely swirl of cultures, eras, and fashion ideas into a collection of kitschy and eclectic pret-a-porter wear. The label currently ships out to 12 countries and cities such as Paris, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.

Already known in the UAE as the artist behind a standout collection of prints of Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Mona Lisa and Beyoncé being retrofitted in Khaleeji styles that include henna art, ornate jewelry, and the Emirati burqa. With this, Leila Al Marashi, has planted herself in a space licensed as “Fash Art”.
