In order to be admitted to the degree programs, the following conditions need to be met by the student:
A pass in the UAE General Secondary School Certificate (all streams acceptable) with an average score of 60% or higher (or equivalent Emirati and International qualifications recognized by the Ministry of Education, UAE will be acceptable)
Placement tests in English and Maths.

A student’s portfolio should demonstrate creative development, whether for an institutional project or for personal work. Creative development refers to own ideas that have resulted in research and progressed towards potential visual and/or three-dimensional proposals or finished design solutions. It's important that the creative work in the portfolio includes, reflects and demonstrates initiative and personal commitment to a particular project, theme or idea.
Yes, a student who does not qualify for regular admissions based on the portfolio presentation and interview will be admitted provisionally to the college, but will be required to pass the FPrep courses.
A student who has a pass, with an average score of 60% or higher in the UAE General Secondary High School Certificate or its Emirati and/or International equivalent but does not meet the conditions for regular admissions, can be conditionally/provisionally admitted to the college without taking the placement tests at the entry point. However the student will be required to take up two preparatory courses, Basic Mathematics and General English to meet the eligibility criteria for Regular Admission.
A student who has a pass, with an average score of 60% or higher in the Senior Secondary level but does not meet other eligibility criteria will be provisionally admitted to Bridge Programs. CFD will offer two Bridge Programs:
A student who does not qualify for regular admissions based on the portfolio presentation and interview will be admitted provisionally to the college, but will be required to pass the FPrep courses.FPrep courses are designed to broaden students’ knowledge and perspective of creative skills in fashion and give them the tools to succeed towards the future translation into an Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree for professional purposes.
CFD does not have any residence Halls, but will support students by directing them to options available. CFD has set-up referral arrangements with a few local companies to enable students in this aspect.
International students will require college sponsorship to obtain a student visa. CFD will sponsor visa for students eligible for full time admission to its degree programs. Student should adhere to CFD visa policy.
CFD will have faculty from the renowned institutions of the world. CFD will nurture diverse next generation under the guidance of most accomplished faculty. CFD students will benefit from instruction and mentorship by some accomplished artists, designers, photographers, illustrators, scholars, and critics.
Students may explore a vast array of topics in various countries. For fashion-specific studies, we offer semester abroad programs at partner university NABA in Milan, Italy. The opportunities to understand fashion from a global perspective are extraordinary at CFD.
Fashion today is global, competitive and skill-demanding. A Capstone project will provide an opportunity for students to integrate academic knowledge from the program with real world challenges in an external fashion agency.
